Akash is Director and Founder at CapitalxWise and heads the corporate strategy and planning of the firm’s fund management business. He has led a distinguished career spanning over 22 years of experience across real estate development, entrepreneurial businesses, and investment.

Property development has been a cornerstone of Akash’s success, having managed over $1 billion in land estate development projects. He is experienced across the entire property development lifecycle from origination, negotiation, financial modelling, debt and equity financing, to planning, development & construction, and property sales.

Prior to his career in property development, Akash founded Security International Services in 2002, securing high-profile partnerships with state and private enterprise and establishing a formidable reputation doing business in Australia and internationally in India and UAE.

AJ Batra is Director and Founder of CapitalxWise, leading the deal origination and acquisition capability within the company.

Winner of the Australian Property Institute prize, AJ Batra combines a revered, educated, and experienced history with a deep passion for finance and design, to bring a sophisticated and innovative approach to property investment.

To implement this vision, AJ brings a collaborative approach to the active management of each project, partnering with practitioners who are leaders in their respective fields, from Urban Design, Engineering, and beyond. He encompasses a meticulous eye for detail, one that has helped him resolve the most challenging projects over his time in the industry.

HEAD OF DISTRIBUTION

Raj is Head of Distribution at CapitalxWise and is responsible for maintaining and growing a deep network of sophisticated investors and family offices with substantial investment interests in real estate and experience in land subdivision development projects. He oversees capital raising, placement, and investor relations across the CapitalxWise fund portfolio and contributes key market inputs in the formation of new managed fund offerings.

Raj is an experienced senior executive and founder across a range of industry sectors within a global context, including real estate, FMCG, import & exports, information technology, and healthcare. He manages a substantial family office retail property portfolio, and currently serves as a director at Shiiv Imports, Inline Systems, and Shiv Realty.

Jason is Chief Investment Officer at CapitalxWise and is accountable for forming the investment strategy, execution & structuring, and portfolio management in the firm. He plays a key role in the growth of the fund investment platform, leveraging over 15 years of combined experience across funds management, property development, and financial services consulting.

Having been involved across origination, capital raising, investment execution, risk management, and governance functions, Jason has a deep understanding of the commercial real estate and capital landscape both from wholesale and institutional investment perspectives. Prior to CapitalxWise, Jason held senior roles at MAI Capital and several Australia leading property developers following a successful career in risk advisory and technology consulting.

Priya is an experienced real estate capital advisor with a strong foundation in corporate finance and a proven track record of delivering bespoke funding solutions across the real estate sector. Prior to joining CapitalXWise as Head of Capital, she was an Associate Director at KPMG Corporate Finance, where she specialised in real estate debt and equity and led the origination and execution of transactions across a wide range of asset classes.

Over her career, Priya has arranged and advised on approximately $6.5 billion in real estate capital, including complex debt and equity financings spanning residential, industrial, mixed-use, and commercial projects. Her expertise lies in identifying high-value opportunities, structuring tailored capital solutions, and securing funding from both domestic and international lenders and investors.

At CapitalXWise, Priya leads the firm’s capital raising and structuring strategies, working closely with capital partners to deliver innovative, outcome-driven financing solutions. She brings a strategic and collaborative approach to every engagement, with a focus on aligning capital with project vision and investment objectives.

OPERATIONS & EXECUTIVE MANAGER

Rachel Bergstrom plays a central role in keeping operations seamless and efficient. With a strong background in the property industry—spanning executive support, team management, and operational leadership—she brings structure to fast-paced environments and turns strategy into action.

Known for her warm, approachable style, Rachel builds trusted relationships across teams, clients, and stakeholders. Her proactive mindset, clear communication, and focus on solutions make her a go-to for all things operations.

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Professional Communications (Hons) and an Agents Rep Licence (VIC) from RMIT University, combining her passion for property, strategic execution, and operational excellence. 

MARKETING & RELATIONSHIPS MANAGER BCom, BTour

Annelies is Marketing & Relationships Manager and has over 14 years of marketing experience, specialising in property across various asset classes for the past 10 years. She is experienced in leading and delivering projects, generating leads, creating brand campaigns, and working with national and international brand ambassadors. Her projects have consistently delivered multi-million-dollar outcomes, cementing her reputation as a results-driven marketing professional.

Annelies has extensive experience in built form and off-the-plan projects and has worked on some of Victoria’s most renowned masterplanned communities and mixed-use projects.

Chris draws on three years of experience in banking and venture capital in Hong Kong to bring a global, financially driven perspective to property. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration from Northeastern University and has worked closely with stakeholders across financial and investment markets in Hong Kong and the broader Asia-Pacific region. This experience allows him to navigate complex opportunities with a strategic and disciplined approach.

Chris is currently completing a Master of Property at the University of Melbourne, with a strong focus on development and the financial drivers of property investment. He brings a strategic mindset to unlocking value through well-executed projects that balance performance with long-term sustainability.

Kitty brings a global perspective to the property sector, backed by four years of experience in real estate and venture capital.

With a Bachelor of Business from New York University, Kitty has successfully collaborated with stakeholders across major markets, including New York City, Los Angeles, and Shenzhen. Her international expertise and strategic approach to property investments position her as a trusted partner in navigating complex opportunities.

Currently advancing her experience with a Master of Property at the University of Melbourne, Kitty is committed to driving value through thoughtful design and sustainable practices - ensuring investments align with both profitability and long-term impact.
